First Game day As a Student

Game day is the pinnacle of any college student’s life each week. All of a sudden tons of old people, young people, families, tailgates and pop up tents show up on campus. Greek life really comes alive as this is a time to connect with alumni, and engage in.... other activities.
Anyways.
My first Tech Student game day started the best way any Tech kid would want to start theirs. In a Chem Lab.
That’s right. Tech students doing tailgate in the chem lab throwing back the ‘ol C2H6O. Just kidding the lab was actually awful I got points docked for safety violations and got out of lab only an hour an half before kickoff.
So my actual tailgate experience was poor. Ran to the dorm. Changed into something more attractive than a lab coat. Run back to Delta Upsilon for the small amount of tailgate that I could experience. Then onto the game!
And by the way. My blocked seat is spectacular.
Blocked on the second row of blocks in the Greek section (south end zone) but the block starts on seat row 3 so pprraccttiiiccalllyy on the field.

(taken from my seat) (excuse me for the snapchat)
The block in front is the Ramblin’ Wreck club. Keepers of the richest student traditions of any college and maintainers of one of the most beautiful cars ever.

Oh yeah and I want to be a part of Ramblin’ Wreck Club some day(this year????)
Anyways onto football.

Alcorn state is not even a state.

The Tech offence was quite impressive. The major losses (see: Smelter, Mason, Waller) did not hinder the team much as  Justin Thomas (for the approximate time of 4 seconds he was on the field) 69 to 6 is an impressive score even against a team that obviously prides themselves with their band equal to or more than the team. And at the very least it brought us up  one in the rankings from 16 to 15. And looking at the rankings we could easily be as high as 8th.
Thanks for reading!
