Here we find ourselves, at the end of a season. No bowl game, worst record since before I was born. Yet this season can still be one that I can be proud to call my first and it all hinges on a win against u(sic)ga tomorrow.
But this brings up the hypothetical question that is so well outlined here at SB Nation the classic Yellow Jacket question, would a win against the dawgs make up for a horrible season?
First of all, this season has not been a complete failure, we beat a team that was streaking 28 in the ACC, and how soon we forget the modern records we set for most points with the absolute smackdowns we handed to Alcorn and Tulane...... Even some of our losses such as to Virginia have recently been justified to their win against Duke...
Ok its been bad.
But just food for thought. The win tomorrow is not out of reach, both teams are doing bad and really anything can happen. Personally, a win tomorrow would make the season for me.
The only Tech game I went to last year was the game at georgia. After ugag's last touchdown many of the fans were shaking my hand saying things like "good game, son" and then promptly leaving. Nonetheless, I stayed through, seeing Justin Thomas's scramble to just outside Butker's kicking range and thought this was going to be a typical Tech screw up with a few bad SEC ref calls thrown in. Kick and the Pick later not only redeemed the feeling that Tech could close in Bonus time unlike the failed the year earlier, but it came with so much gratification that my freshman year georgia hate could be accompanied by actual dominance over the team. And a stadium full of silent dwag fans is one of the best things ever.
The win last year could easily compound the significance of a win this year, and thus a little success in the season. Many young georgia fans actually dont know much about the rivalry due to the recent last 15 year dominance by them..... as evidence that my ugag high school classmates believe that "To Hell With georgia" is not a thing and the same statement against Tech is. No really they think its their thing. Forget all the #THWg that we literally put on everything even playing other teams.....
Oh and wouldn't it be great to end Mark Richt's career with this win? That could actually happen....
Here's to the Brave and Bold tomorrow, To Hell With georgia!!!!

Helluva Hell Week/Hate Week Hype
Welcome to the real Georgia Tech Hell week. I have 3 tests in one day, 4 tests and a quiz within 48 hours, and a lab due the day after that.
And here I am running out of ways to procrastinate so........ BLOG POST.
So why do professors decide to coordinate their tests in such a perfect combination of doom? Is it to minimize the remorse of a failed test? Is it to provide the student relief that all the pain is over on Thursday at 7:00? Provide joy when i made a 110%.... in all my tests combined? Yeah. Probably.
But may I propose a new theory. Next week is maybe one of the most important weeks of the year. A trend that is currently sweeping across Statesboro to good 'ol Atlanta, why its.....
Georgia Hate Week!!!!! WWOOOOOO
See we have all the kids worry this week so they can vent all their anger and frustration against our mortal enemy since the beginning of time while they look at their grades and realize how hard Tech is and eat some good Turkey over Thanksgiving and relive our victory from last year before every home football game (really they play the the Kick and The Pick along with Miracle on Techwood before every game, so hype) YEAH TO HELL WITH GEORGIA
Speaking about that did you know that the GT vs u[sic]ga game last year was the first ever overtime played in Stanford Stadium? Huh.
So its ok everyone we can get over this Hell Week because you are at Georgia Tech and You Can Do That!
On a side note saw Justin Thomas around campus today. Two things:
1. Why are you walking and other football players are using carts and segways(lol not really)
2. Mad Hair Dude. Like really how does that fit in a helmet.
I'll close with my own video of the Wreck and Players taking the field
And Photo Evidence Georgia Tech Won the Virginia Tech Game

Spooky Action at a Distance/Happy Halloween!!
For Halloween, we have a new campus resident!!!
So this statue is on the north west corner of Tech Green opposite of the CULC, and of all things may be the most controversial thing on campus right now (maybe even more than all the trouble OSI is even in!!) Ok that is a huge lie but seriously if you don't know about the issues with OSI from the kangaroo court that they have set up and their policy that you are guilty unless proven innocent in all cases. Even a simple search of OSI on reddit turns up nothing good. Its simple the students are not happy about this and nothing much is being done.
But I digress.
So whats up with the Einstein statue? I mean we are nerdy here at Georgia Tech and having a cool nerdy statue would be cool right? RRIIIIGGHHTT????
Well..... eh.
Yeah Einstein, or now known as Shrinestine as we won the FSU game right after it was installed is cool and all, I want more metal statues!!!
People have complained that the statue kinda looks like poop.... as seen in this video. Come on guys, its not poop. Its artsy. Something I wouldn't expect us to know much about.... Yeah engineering!!
And It makes sence because its in the physics section of campus.... even though we halve almost nothing to do with Einstein...
However we have a lot of astronauts and a statue of one of them in a spacesuit would be dope. And who doesn't like space AMIRIGHT.
But onto Georgia Tech Halloween.
Sadly I don't have any pictures of the events. This is mostly because my phone battery is crap and can barely hold a charge. But it may have been the most active weekend that campus has ever been this semester, even more after the unexpected FSU win. I may have even done my first true version of frat hopping (also known as fropping) having a party at my own fraturnity and visiting friends at other fraternities such as Sig Ep, Pi Kap, Chi Phi...... and Delta Chi who even had a dj that performed at Tomorroworld???!!!!????
Oh and the friends I did see. Including at least 15 from my high school that were at my fraternity at one time, mostly from u(sic)ga. So evidently Tech unarguably wins the Halloween party battle there. Yay I guess?
Go Jackets!

The Miracle on Techwood
Football post!!!
There has been some crazy events in college sports recently and this has to top the list. I'm sure many of you have seen the sports science video that broke down many factors of the success in this play, from lower than normal kick angle to a lighter return man than most of the other team.
Ok so by the time I finally got around to doing this there are some more football woes, but here is something to be happy about.
Also on a side note this is initiation week for my fraternity (date of posting 11/2) so as soon as I am finally done with initiation I can hopefully post a helluva amount of posts.
So if the hype has died down for you let me refresh your memory

Hey I'm actually in this picture who knew |
but seriously if you haven't seen it go click on that
This is one of the best football games I've seen in a while. Well played by the Jackets. Luck , which I realize is often a factor in football, barely played into this win, minus the last play to a decent extent.
Yes this loss to Virginia also is somewhat detrimental however, still haven't lost bowl eligibility. The jackets know they got to win the rest and I believe that can happen.
We did crush a 28 ACC win streak, didn't we?
Now I just wish my Calculus grade could have a Miracle on Techwood moment too.
Thanks and THWg
